easyCover Silicone Protection Cover for Canon EOS 70D (Camouflage)

The EasyCover for Canon 70D is a nice protective feature that I recently added after many years of use....wished I had done it sooner. The cover goes on easily and fits pretty snugly. The rubberized cove helps with gripping the camera which makes it feel like a part of my hand. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is for 2 reasons. (1) The cut-out for the SD door is off by about 1/16 which makes it slightly more difficult to open/close the door. Given how frequently I insert/remove my SD cards, I had to take a razor blade and cut it to make the opening slightly larger. (2) I have a camera grip that mounts on the bottom of the camera and this cover does not take that into account. (which for 95% of users, thats a good thing) But because the cover slightly wraps around the bottom, my grip does not fully engage into the batter compartment no matter how tight I screw it in. So, my solution was to trim the 1/16 wrap on the bottom and all is well. Overall, everyone who buys a nice camera should purchase one of these as a way of protecting it for as long as you can. Finally, because it is made of a rubberized mater, it is slightly harder to take my camera in/out of my camera bag which holds my camera pretty snugly. (I know I can move the foam inserts but I like my camera to be snug in the backpack)

The material is very good and provides everything necessary to cover the body of the camera at any time. The only thing that I do not like is the cover of the flash shoe because when it used a flash trigger it is uncomfortable

Fantastic cover for the new Canon 70D. At first I wasn't too sure as a lot of the camera is still exposed but the features of the camera like in built flash and rear screen articulation does not allow full coverage. It still offers protection against salt sea air and covering the main buttons while still allowing functionality. I have found the silicon to be of great quality and the camera fits perfectly within the cover. It is very comfortable to handle and provides a professional look. I would definitely purchase again for future camera upgrades.

I noticed that I could highlight the embossed symbols and letters for the buttons when i looked closer and focused my progressive lenses (or enlarged the cellphone pics). No insurmountable problems, only minor challenges. and the protection is worth it! Working the Optech strap (only removed the end with the lens cap holder) was easily done, pushing the strap through under the cover, then feeding it out the cover's puka (hole). Designed in the Netherlands, made in China and useful here. Hauoli Makahiki Hou 2020!
