Ruggard SleekGuard Silicone Camera Skin for Nikon Z7II and Z6II

It fits ok, but the dial on the left to set exposure mode cramped use of the dial. It had an indentation, so I used a small scissor to cut it off. Not recommended for those who use a battery grip w/Z7ii, as you'd have to cut out a large amount of the lower part to accomodate use w/a battery, which attaches to the camera's base.

Since I'm new to the Z7 and the buttons are covered, it's difficult at times to figure out which buttons are what. I bought it to protect my investment, and so far so good.

So far this skin is spot on. It is a tight fit and you may need to work it around the camera for good fit. All buttons work well that are behind the skin. Plenty of room to access all doors that open for battery, memory cards and other access.

Very light and thin but adds a coating of soft rubber to keep your camera free of nicks and scratches and possible internal damage if it falls. The good thing is that you don't lose any access to button function. At first I didn't like it but I am now getting used to it.

I really like the concept for this and the possibility of an additional layer of protection for when my camera is loose in my backpack or could be bumped or even (gasp) dropped. It fits securely and feels good enough from a comfort/ergonomics perspective. Seems to do the trick for protection (though I haven't tried juggling my camera with it on just yet...). Where it falls short is with buttons and access to other parts of the camera. The buttons have no color, so are just black on black. If you haven't memorized every single button on your camera, then this will slow you down. The direction pad is cut without any space at all around the edges, meaning that it's actually surprisingly difficult to press up, down, left, or right. This slowed me down a lot when trying to select focus points, and sometimes the AF box would jump around unexpectedly. Accessing the battery compartment was ok, as was the memory card slot on the side. Trying to attach anything to the hot shoe mount on top was difficult at best, and left me very tempted to just completely cut the silicone flap off. After two days of using this skin in the field, I took it off and never put it back on again. It's a good concept but the execution needs a little improvement.
