Nanuk 923 Protective Case with Cubed Foam (Black)

I just bought this case for my 16 Macbook Pro. It holds all of the accessories I have as well. The lock system seems very solid. The only possible downside is that it is a bit bulky and heavy. I did not think it would be as heavy as it is but if it protects my laptop, it's a trade-off I am willing to take.

This case is of outstanding quality and craftsmanship. After years of fighting mold on backpacks- now my MacBook is totally safe on my sailing yacht. Plenty of organized space for accessories. This is one impressive product.

I needed a case to transport my Sony FE 5.6-6.3 100-400 FM OSS and Sony FE 5.6-6.3 200-600 G OSS lenses. I have used the Nanuk compartment cases in the past but some times you can't get that tight fit you want for transport. So enter the 923 Cubed foam case. I made a cardboard silhouette of each lens, taped the silhouettes onto the 2 supplied cubed inserts and cut the silhouettes out keeping the two cubed inserts taped together. The result was a snug fit for my two lenses. I also made a cut outs for the tripod feet. Again, the cubed inserts allowed me to customize my case specifically for these two lenses. Each cube is 1/4 inch square, I like to leave a minimum of at least 1/2 inch between lenses. If you mess up you can get extra foam inserts from the manufacture or get them and make the case customized for other equipment. The case comes with a hard shell, great designed latches that were redesigned from my last Nanuk case, and locking key (two supplied). If your looking for the ultimate protection for your expensive gear, you just found it. I got this case on sale and used my PayBoo card to save even more on state taxes. Thanks again . The case comes with four foam inserts, the top honeycombed piece, two 1 1/2 inch cubed inserts and a 1/2 inch solid foam bottom insert.

Very nice setup and strap , locks , inner case and inner case insert! Would say anyone thinking about it Buy it! Reminds me of the old metal briefcase made by high dollar Germany Company for luggage.

The case is well made and does its job. It is priced correctly and in comparable to its competitors. The problem with the case is if you need warranty repairs or parts. According to the NANUK website, all warranty related issues, repairs and parts come from Canada. So, if you need to send the case for any of the above, or you need a part, the cost and customs paperwork is a headache. In one of the reports on another NANUK case, the reviewer claims that, while they got the part for free from NANUK, the cost to ship the foam was about 100.00. Also, unlike the competitor's case which has a rubber gasket around the edges, NANUK does not have that feature. So, ask yourself, are all these issues worth the cost of purchasing this product? For me, no.

Love this case. It is my new go to for laptop cases. We now have 9 of these and this is the most protected case we have ever had. It would be a perfect 5 out of 5 stars if the installation of the top lid portion was not done properly. Once screw was stripped, or I should say they stripped the attachment point. Just got it and labeled it all up and didn't discover this right away, so I will attempt a repair with hot melt glue or plastic filler. All the other cases I received were fine.
