Pelican Vault V700 Takedown Case with Foam Insert (Black)

This particular line is made in Mexico I believe. But it is well made and survived a trip across the country - it slid under a car in a trailer and although it was pretty roughed up, nothing broke and the contents were safe and sound. Materials are robust.

I put all my audio gear into this box. It fits my short boompole and all the other gear i need for my audio package. Not pick and pluck foam however so you just have to draw lines and cut the spaces you need...which is just fine. Highly recommended!

I purchased this Pelican Vault V700 case for storage and transport of my vintage 800mm super telephoto lens. This case provides ample room for the lens, tripod, monopod, as well as several other accessories. Most importantly the case is of sufficient length that I do not have to break down the 800mm lens into its three parts for transit. This will be very useful in the field making for much quicker setup and takedown. Photo processed and shipped my order promptly. Given that this is a budget price point product line from Pelican, this case from their Vault product line still appears to be of decent build quality, strength, and function. The only reason I do not give this product a 5 star rating is that this case from Pelican does not come with their '˜pick pluck' foam that I view as superior or offer it as an option. They seriously need to consider this option on their Vault product line of cases. Other than that this case is an overall good value and I would recommend it for other similar applications.

My first pelican but I am glad I went with this case. Since it does not have wheels, I do sort of wish it had ring to attach a strap. I guess I could use the padlock holes,
