Ruggard HFV-250 Protective Camera Case

I bought this as a replacement for the pouch that comes with the Nikon BL-5 Battery Chamber cover for the NIkon MB-D18 Grip for the Nikon D850 DSLR body that I have. The BL-5 is compatible with other vertical grips for other Nikon bodies by the way. I bought it because I had read other reviews of the BL-5 and decided to find a replacement. This case fits the BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover with a battery connected and with the contact cover of the EN-EL18C attached with no problem. Because it is semi rigid it does take a tiny bit more room in my bag, but it is an alternative solution. So, no reduction in stars for that. Pros: It fits the battery perfectly Offers more protection Well built (but time will tell with use). Can be used for its original purpose of protecting a compact all in one camera Cons: It takes more room in the bag Strap useless for the purposes of my use Durability will be determined over time. I do not foresee an issue. Highly recommended for this alternative use. Ruggard should make a deal with Nikon for this case to add to the already overpriced chamber cover. At least we that want the vertical grip and the more powerful battery won't whine quite as much about the money we are spending.
