Tenba Cooper 15 Slim Messenger Bag with Leather Accents (Gray)

Looked at tons of bags, and really lovehis one. Lot's of room for everything I need. Is more black than gray, but I got it while on special so it was a steal!! Love it!

The bag definitely holds most of what I need for a trip where I am not bringing a huge variety of camera equipment, along with my 14 computer, accessories for both the cameras and the computer and a few other things. It has plenty of pockets, the zippered front pocket on the flap is great for keeping travel documents and things I want quick access to while traveling. The bag is stiffer than I would like, but I think that will break in with time and use. Certainly for using as a camera bag to work out of out and about in the world, the stiffness is a bit of a problem and for the type of work and equipment I bring it is deeper than it needs to be. On my first trip with the bag I have brought a Nikon Z7 2 body with the Z 85 1.8 attached and a Sony RX1R-2 by way of cameras. For this particular trip that is all I need for photos. But the bag would be ludicrously large to carry around for that amount of equipment, so I brought along an extra, much smaller bag for walking around purposes. I had originally packed it also with the Nikon Z 14-30 4 lens, and that did fit very well, but it still would have been too big for working out of. The bag is very attractive, which I don't really care about all that much, and does seem to be extremely well-made, which I do care about. Once it softens up with use and were I to need a bigger bag for a working camera bag on a trip, it would be excellent, though for most of the type of work I do it will involve bringing along a small second bag to decant my equipment into for walking around purposes. The bag itself is also somewhat heavy, adding to the weight on my shoulder.

It is everything it was advertised to be. I can now take with me what I need on day trips without the need for a backpack. It is much more convienient.

Bought this bag for my Sony a7iii camera and the following lenses: Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 Tamron 70-180mm f2.8, and Sigma 100-400mm f5/6.3 Perfect fit, 100-400 on left, A7iii with 70-180 in middle, and 17-28 and 28-75 stacked at right. The Tenba Cooper bags are of great quality and I got a great deal. Highly recommended!

This was probably my thirtieth attempt to get a camera bag that worked for me. I 9m a traveling manager who also shoots stills and video for training development, so I needed a bag that lets me carry what 9s needed and still look the part of the professional manager without the bag 9s design screaming, cThere 9s camera gear inside! d Bottom line, it 9s my perfect travel bag. And a big thanks to the folks for being patient with my returns!

I already have the Cooper 13 Slim and Cooper 8 and needed a laptop bag that comfortably fit a 15 Macbook Pro and this seemed like a good choice. Those of you familiar with the rest of the Cooper family will be happy to know that the 15 Slim has similar features like: - Silent Velcro - Top access on a messenger bag - Expandable side pockets - Security zip - Removable camera insert to convert into a normal messenger bag - Leather bottom - Rain/sun protector - Removable shoulder pad - Removable grab handle - Stylish yet casual urban design, doesn't look like a camera bag These features make it almost the perfect bag for me HOWEVER there are some things to note. The bag does NOT look like the one in the product images. I was just expecting it to be a larger version of the other Coopers (in particular the 13 Slim) but it is not and have included a couple pics with this review for comparison. a) the bag is labeled as gray, but is actually black. You can argue that it is just s super super dark gray, but the point is it is significantly different from all the other Coopers which are also labeled as gray. a) the material is much rougher (think of a thick heavy-duty canvas bag), not the softer cotton-like feel of the other Coopers b) the material is much stiffer, and this extends to the rest of the bag making it quite rigid, so it doesn't conform slightly to the curve of your budy when you carry it. This will be especially noticeable for anyone who has a slim build. Imagine carrying a similarly shaped cardboard box with a shoulder strap. This could soften a little over time but was not necessary with the other Coopers. I'm not sure if the 15 Slim was never made to look/feel like the other Coopers or whether it originally did but was changed at some point but these are things to watch out for. For reference I purchased in July 2020. I like all the features however I really wanted the color and material of the other Coopers which this one did not have, and despite all the great features it just didn't feel good to carry. Because of the reasons above, I ended up returning the bag which unfortunately had a hefty return international shipping fee.
