Think Tank Photo SpeedTop 15 Cross-Body Shoulder Bag

I've been using Think Tank's SpeedTop 15 shoulder bag for several weeks and I really love it. The strong magnets really work and the bag doesn't open until I want it to. It's also a narrow bag so it clings to my body better than other bags I own. You do have to keep your gear down to a minimum when using it but that's a good thing anyway. Really really nice bag that I highly recommend!

I purchased this bag before an extensive trip to the Falkland Islands and South Georgia Island. The trip involved many wet landings by zodiacs on beaches covered with penguins, seals, and birds. This bag worked very well! I love that it opens toward your body and that magnets allow the top to snap shut. I also felt that it held the camera securely; it would not open even if handed around in the zodiac or on the beach. Now if it had just been a big bigger to hold my R5 with the 100-500 mm lens! (I used the bag for an R6 with 24-105 lens.)

I've had dozens of camera bags over the last 50 years: big ones, little ones; zipper top, flap and buckle top, leather and canvas, deep ones, shallow ones, messenger and shoulder bags, waist bags. You get the idea. As I'm aging, I'm finding that I can't carry the heavy stuff anymore. But the small bags that are available now are just too small for my needs: a D7200 and one other lens, and maybe a small accessory. Enter the SpeedTop 15. This bag is the just-right bag FOR ME. The magnetic top is fast-access and secure; just brilliant! The bag is not too big, but big enough for me and my stuff. It's deep enough that I can lay my camera strap on top of everything (which has always been a problem for me). The top opens away from you which keeps prying eyes away. The strap is long enough that I can carry it cross body and swing it around to hang it behind me on my hip, out of the way. Keep in mind this bag is almost perfect FOR ME. It may be for others too. Wanted a good looking travel bag for minimal kit, R5, a couple lenses and small flash. Didn't want the bulk of the SpeedRacer I also have. This SpeedTop is perfect. Cleaner looking, carries well and if I go heavy I can add a belt
