Vanguard VEO RANGE 38M Large Messenger Camera Bag (Navy Blue)

I found this bag quite functional and it looks good without being flashy. This bag does not stand out as a camera bag much as some others, which I find to be a plus. It has enough room to hold my gear including camera, small laptop, four lenses, and accessories. Exterior tripod strap worked well for me. I found this to be an excellent bag for air travel. I use a smaller bag for all day carrying around that only holds two lenses, but was able to carry this bag around without issues for shorter periods. This bag tends to tip over on me if the bottom compartment is left empty. Some of the zippers can be a bit difficult to get to but they all work well and the bag secures items well. The quick-access top zipper is useful. It has a small zipper compartment for memory cards with one side labeled/color coded unused, and the other side used, which is helpful for organizing.

This is a well constructed bag that appears to be very durable. It's base is a bit more squared off that the corresponding Tenba camera bag, which is an advantage. It also has a lower compartment which would hold a small lens and accessories, although I would be concerned about the potential for damage of the former, were the bag accidentally dropped onto a hard surface. Since I always travel with a large carbon fiber Gitzo tripod (packed in my suitcase), I have no use for a compartment which would hold a very small lightweight tripod. With the dividers removed from the main compartment, it will easily hold a Nikon D850 with a 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens attached to the camera body. I purchased this bag to hold the same lens (or a 100-400 mm Z lens) attached to my Nikon Z9, and although does it fits, there is more of a bulge when I have an L-frame attached to the camera body. One significant advantage to this bag over the correspondingly sized Tenbas, which I've previously used to carry a single camera and lens for routine travel purposes, is the sturdy luggage strap attached sturdily to the top flap, allowing it to be placed onto the carrying handle of a suitcase. The bag, though, tends not to stand upright whenever anything heavy is inside. I gave it 3 stars, since it is a good bag, and I do plan on keeping it, but for my uses I actually think that the large Tenba bag is better.

Yet to be tested in the field but seems to be perfect to accommodate my Canon R5 and 3 lenses incl rf100-500 and be able to keep it in my shoulder and change to whatever lens needed.

The two greatest things about this bag are - The look is clean, professional, but doesn't appear expensive - The two tiered system That first point is really important to me. Having an expensive looking bag is all well and good if you're always in very safe environments where nice looking things don't make you a target, but that's unrealistic. Most of the time, I want something that looks clean and not out of place in a professional environment, but doesn't scream look at me! There is expensive gear inside! Come steal me! And to that end, this bag fits the bill just perfectly. Just looking from the outside, you wouldn't know if this bag was purchased at an expensive store, or a Target or Walmart. I would say it strikes that perfect balance, creating that mystery at how much it probably cost. Either way, it doesn't demand attention, and for me, that's idea. The second thing I truly love about this bag is the lower shelf below the main camera section. here you can hold spare gear you don't need to access very quickly, or you can hold a long narrow lends, or two to three shorter lenses. What I use it for is to hold my tripod. And that is WONDERFUL!!!! I often want to bring a tripod with me on a day of shooting, but for almost every other bag, a good sized camera bag is designed to carry the tripod on the outside. Nothing screams I'm a camera bag! steal me like a tripod strapped to the outside of a pack. Now, with a backpack, some narrower tripods are designed to be carried inside the pack. The Peak Design tripod comes to mind. But for me, backpacks have their own drawbacks. and this pack allows the tripod to be concealed in the lower section, along with a few small items. --- While I didn't list it as a plus, one obvious advantage to a bag like this is it's ability to swallow a 16 Macbook pro. Overall, this is one seriously exceptional bag, and going forward, for a full travel day including flights, I imagine this will be my goto bag for many years to come. Excellent job, Vanguard, you've successfully created the bag I've imagined and been looking for for many many years.

love the color, not the usual black or beige. I really like the fasteners bellow the flap so you can open it but keep the straps tight. Fast top access is a nice feature.

I waited a very long time for this bag to be available. I appreciate the updates sent to keep me informed. I own a smaller version of this bag, and I am much happier with the size of this bag. Many of my lenses did not fit well in the smaller bag. The lenses were too tall to stand on end with cover closed. Problem solved with this bag! It holds everything I need in a very accessible and organized fashion! My 70-300mm, and 100 mm macro will stand on end easily. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that in the first 24 hours of having the bag the front leather label popped loose on one side, and it is now flopping about leaving a hole in the front of the bag. I waited so long for it to arrive; I am afraid to send it back to get it replaced. I do highly recommend this bag for its size and organizational style. Love the battery/memory card compartments!

When I received this bag I was a little perplexed by its design. After using it for awhile I have learned to like it for the ease of gaining access to my camera and lenses plus all the accessories I carry. Plenty of room no doubt.
