Because the corners are free of harmful chemicals and a non-yellowing pressure-sensitive adhesive, thus, it is a safer way of mounting when used in conjunction with window mats because the adhesive never encounters the art work. The full view corner requires the window mat to overlay the mounting corner to hide it from view.
