Carson MicroFlip MP-250 100-250x Pocket Microscope

This is a great item for looking at the tiny details of things. It's not intended to have the magnification of a lab or medical scope, but for casual inspection by the curious, it works extremely well.

The image quality is not what you get out of a full microscope, but I didn't expect that out of something so small and light. The magnification is great and the UV light and included slide is super helpful. It is a bit finicky to hold steady.

I bought this as a gift but opened it so that I could see if it really was what they said, and yes it was. I wanted to go around to everything and see what it looked like at that level. I know that my grandson will love it.

I needed to look at a couple bugs I found in the house, and this did it very well and could ID each insect as a (1) bird mite and (2) book lice; super cool! It has a direct observation view (book lice) and a slide enabled view (bird mite). It has a fine focus and a corse zoom that adjusts from 100x to 250x. The phone clip works but its really difficult to keep your hand still enough to take good pics so I would recommend taking video so its more of a user skill issue but I really like this thing personally especially for the price, I am a tough judge, I would give it 5 stars if it had a way to stabilize the slide or observation views to take pictures, well there you go, I hope this review helps you decide if this is the right product for you... ok one more thing, build is pretty good, its great for playing around and for getting an intro to the micro-world around you.
