ProMediaGear PXM1 HYBRID Manfrotto-Type RC2 and Arca-Type Quick Release Plate

I am an enthusiast, and this HYBRID Quick Release Plate is a great bridge from my older and much heavier Manfrotto tripod to my lighter travel tripod. I love that I don't have to take the plate off the camera and just use both tripods as I see fit. One thing to know is that the Quick Release Plate only works in (1) position inside the RC2 base. It can feel like you have 2 positions, but really-- there is only one secure way. You will have to set the HYBRID plate accordingly on your camera to securely set the camera onto your RC2 base. Some reviews complained that their cameras were not secure on their tripod. This might be the reason. Also, there are 2 small screws on the Quick Release Plate -- I don't know why they are there. It seems to be in the way for my Canon camera to sit flush on the plate and I don't want them to scrape the finish of the front of my camera, so I removed them. I don't think it is a big deal... Other than that, this Quick Release Plate is working really well and I will be getting a second plate for a smaller camera setup soon.
