Jobu Design Lens Plate for Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens

I previously had the Kirk replacement foot for this lens, and wanted something a little bit more low-profile and easy to remove when storing the lens in a smaller bag. The plate does the job, and it is long enough for mounting on a gimbal or tilthead. I had hoped that given the plate is designed specifically for the lens that the two notches would fit very flush with the lens spaces they correspond with, but they do not. As a result there is still movement. While that movement is not significant, it is enough over the course of a walk to wiggle loose the screw holding it to the lens. Worth considering. My big disappointment for this plate, however, is that there is no benefit to it beyond being able to mount the lens on a tripod head. You realistically lose functionality of the strap attachment point on the stock foot, and so when this plate is on you are forced to hand hold it. An attachment point at either (or both) ends of the plate could have made this an absolute must-have accessory for this lens, but as it is it is just kind of meh. I had hoped the attachment point might still be accessible around the plate but there just isnt enough room to make that tenable.
