The LP-71 Quick Release Lens Plate from Kirk mounts directly to the foot of the RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lens, and its dovetail design is compatible with most Arca-type clamps and heads. The durable 6061-T6 aluminum foot has a black anodized finish, making it resistant to scratches and corrosion. Additionally, safety stops located on the bottom of the foot prevent the lens from accidentally dropping out when the clamp is partially open. The LP-71 plate features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded receiver mounts and is also compatible with the standard QD quick disconnect system.
