Nodal Ninja Arca-Type Stop Plate (2-Pack)

Acts as a stop bar preventing the camera from sliding off the acra clamp accidentally, while also acting as stable flat feet for when the camera needs to rest on a surface.

This little part is a time saver. When I use a Nodal Ninja Pano Head (M1-S or M2 Ultimate), I sometimes use a longer lens. This lens is then mounted to the panoramic head directly. It requires adjusting the setup, so the lens is centered again. Fortunately, they come in pairs, so I have my camera mounting position marked on one side, and the lens mounted change on the other side. The rig is so adjusted in seconds instead of paying a lot of attention to it. I have these even on the rotational arm for the two main lenses I will use. (... for a quick 360x180 I have a different lens than for a hi-res 360x180.) Also adjusted in seconds. My background: photographing with (D)SLRs since 1978, shooting 360 panoramas since the late '90s.

This item is for the ACRA profile of the Nodal Ninja set up. Since I shoot a lot with different lenses, I can mark two points on each ACRA profile. If I replace the profile that usually holds the camera and mount a lens (e.g., Canon L 70-200, F/2.8) with its own ACRA plate directly to the rotator, then I have to move the base ACRA profile a little bit. Since I do that often, this affordable little helper marks the two points. Instead of paying a lot of attention to it, now it is a muscle memory adjustment. Always precise. I also have one of the vertical/rotational ACRA profiles, which marks the two nodal point positions for two lenses that I use the most. Last but not least, the ACRA plate of the camera has two, so it always sits correctly, without even looking at it. The investment was little, the effect is excellent, day in day out. I shoot panoramas for over 20 years. I consider myself not really patient with gear, it needs to work and not pull on my attention.
