The top of the leveling base features a low friction anti-jam polymer plate with a 3/8`-16 male stud. Therefore, ball, gimbal, and fluid heads with the same female thread will screw directly to the base. After locking the level`s low-profile knob in place, the base supports up to 25 lb of gear without slipping. In addition, the CNC machined 6061 aluminum leveling base has a Type II anodized finish, which makes it scratch- and corrosion-resistant.
