A groove and O-ring on the ball prevent slipping for a better hold with less force, improving on the design of the previous #9571.6 model. The mount is constructed from aluminum that has been treated with a Type III hard anodized finish for excellent corrosion resistance. It ships without a required, compatible 1 ball clamp, which is also available. Conveniently, the older and newer mounts and clamps are interchangeable.
