It has a depth rating of 295`, which is upgradeable upon request to 426`. This version of the housing also includes a pre-installed vacuum check system, which allows you to confirm watertight integrity before the dive. An Ikelite 5-pin manual strobe connector enables the attachment of optional external strobes via sync cords. The standard, coated eyepiece offers a full view of the camera`s viewfinder.

The housing provides access to virtually all camera functions via mechanical push-button, knob/dial, and lever controls. It also features an ergonomic design with 2 grips that offer improved handling and attachment points for optional lighting arms. Built for durability, especially resistance to corrosion, the housing is constructed from anodized, machined aluminum and stainless steel.

Waterproofing

• Known as Vacuum Circuitry and Alarm Kit, the atmospheric pressure-sensitive system consists of a vacuum valve, an extracting pump, and an audible/visible moisture alarm/pressure sensor with an on/off switch
• Valve and extracting pump contribute by ensuring that a solid vacuum is created inside the housing
• Circuit features integrated temperature compensation, preventing changes in ambient temperature from affecting accuracy
• Green LED lights up to indicate that vacuum has been created

Controls, Handling, and Operation

• Provides easy access to virtually all camera functions via smooth, mechanical push-button, knob/dial, and lever controls
• Knurled knobs and over-sized controls, including extended shutter release, allow for easy operation--even when wearing gloves
• Sophisticated zoom/focus system with redesigned housing pinion gear and a selection of lens gears with larger diameters, allowing for smoother transitions while zooming/focusing during video recording
• Video record on/off control lever located on right side, and easily controlled with thumb using a slight forward motion
• Quick-release tray enables precise positioning of camera in housing, and allows you to insert and remove it via simple push tab. This means camera can be removed from rear while keeping a lens and zoom gear attached
• Port lock and lens release mechanisms
• Ergonomic design with 2 grooved, corrosion-resistant grips that offer improved handling and attachment points for optional lighting arms, such as Aquatica`s Delta 3 line
• Standard, coated, Galileo-type eyepiece offers a full view of the camera`s viewfinder

Construction Details

• Milled from a solid block of 6061 T6 aluminum
• Anodized to MIL-A-8625 type 2, Class 2 spec for resistance to corrosion
• Baked-on, powder-coated, A.A.M.A. 2603-98 spec polyester paint for additional durability
• All push-button controls made from type 304 stainless steel
• All control shafts have double O-ring seals, while all push pins have quad-ring seals
• Dual sacrificial anodes corrode to prevent sensitive parts of housing from corroding
