Kopul MuteMate 2x2 Momentary Microphone Mute/Talk Switch

The Kopul MuteMate 2x2 is a momentary microphone mute/talk switch that s compatible with both condenser and dynamic mics. Connect the MuteMate to your mixing board, audio interface, computer, or sound system and go right to work without an external power source thanks to its passive design. The switch can be set to function as a temporary mute button, which you can press and hold to attenuate the mic level by 60 dB, preventing coughs or side conversations to be heard by the audience. You can also set the switch to function as a temporary talk button, which activates the microphone while you keep the button pressed. Talk mode also lets you use the MuteMate 2x2 as a talkback button in recording studios, so producers and engineers can easily communicate with performers.

In both operating modes, an indicator LED illuminates when the MuteMate is active. The MuteMate features 3-pin XLR connectors for mic input and signal output to a recorder, sound system, or audio workstation. With a rugged, all-steel construction, the unit can be used as a handy desktop accessory or as a foot switch.

Dynamic and Condenser Microphones

The Condenser/Dynamic switch ensures silent muting and unmuting no matter what kind of mic you use. Select Condenser to pass-through phantom power for your condenser microphone. Switching to Dynamic lets you use the MuteMate with a dynamic microphone.

Press-to-Talk Mode

In press-to-talk mode, your voice is heard only when you need to speak. Otherwise, your mic stays muted to prevent ambient noise or other conversations from disrupting your conference or recording session. You can also use press-to-talk mode so the MuteMate 2x2 functions as a talkback button in recording studio applications.

Press-to-Mute Mode

In situations when you need to mute your mic for a quick side conversation, to cough, or clear your throat, the Press-to-Mute mode enables you to momentarily attenuate the level of your mic by 60 dB, so you can cut out things you d prefer to go unheard.

Status-Indicator Light

The status-indicator light is conveniently placed right next to the push button, making it easy to see whether the mic is on or muted.

Rugged Metal Housing

The MuteMate is made for repeated use and travel. The all-metal construction is designed to stand up to bumps and dings whether it s in a gear case or your pocket. It also enables you to use the unit as a foot switch.

Mounting Options

The MuteMate is equipped with nonslip rubber feet, ensuring that it stays put, even on a polished desk or floor. The housing also features mounting holes for more permanent installation on a podium, desktop, or workstation.
