The DM1 is constructed of heavy-duty 14-gauge steel and has a number of useful applications onstage from muting a mic for coughing, to redirecting the signal for communication with stage crew or band members, to activating separate channels with unique FX chains like echo and reverb. The temporary footswitch only affects the signal while depressed, and returns normal routing upon release, while a convenient ground-lift switch can be used to eliminate pesky ground hum on the output.
