Palmer PALM10 Overview
Use the to send two line signals (one stereo or dual mono) to multiple devices without commonly occurring ground-loop hum and buzz. A typical application is sending the stereo output signal from a mixer to several power amps.
RIVER peene features a simple and reliable passive design that delivers a low noise floor and a neutral sound, while requiring no battery. It utilizes galvanic-isolation technology via its two large transformers to handle high-level signals up to +32 dBu without distortion.
Engineered in Germany and built to last, the unit is virtually indestructible thanks to its rugged, aluminum-and-steel casing and reinforced connectors. Included is a rewritable tour label for attachment onto the back of the peene.
Connections
- Input 1 / 2: balanced line inputs with female XLR 3-pin connectors.
- Thru 1 / Thru 2: balanced line outputs with male XLR 3-pin connectors. Thru 1 is wired directly to Input 1 and Thru 2 is wired directly to Input 2 without being decoupled by isolating transformers.
- Output 1A / 1B: balanced line outputs with male XLR 3-pin connectors for channel 1. Output A and output B are each decoupled from the line input by the use of high-quality isolating transformers. Use balanced audio cables to connect the line splitter to the balanced inputs of a power amplifier, mixing console, or audio interface.
- Output 2A / 2B: balanced line outputs with male XLR 3-pin connectors for channel 2. Output A and output B are each decoupled from the line input by the use of high-quality isolating transformers. Use balanced audio cables to connect the line splitter to the balanced inputs of a power amplifier, mixing console, or audio interface.
Switchable Ground Lift
- Use the ground-lift switch to disconnect the ground connections from the inputs and outputs and further eliminate hum loops.
