Sachtler Heavy Duty Harness

It's a bit too much around the neck where it would probably dig in too much or the weight would be mostly on your neck and not as much back. I tried to get it to feel comfortable but ended up just letting it go as I'd personally rather just have a regular strap which would be more comfortable or even just attached to a belt. Maybe if you're carrying a HUGE setup it might be different? but for a simple mixpre 10 and not a ton of weight it seems like it may be more annoying than not?

Just got off a shoot in where I was running and gunning with a group down highway 1. I harness gave me the flexibility to move quickly and keep all my gear in check. It was really comfortable and easy to take on and off.

Haven't really given in a full test with a heavy bag, but it seems to do the trick. Hard to figure out how to put on correctly, but that is the same for all of Sachtlers soundbags and other sound accessories.

I haven't had a chance to use it in production yet, but seems comfortable and well built. Love the addition of a boom pole resting cup.

Tried using this harness with a K-Tek large bag and it put all the weight on my neck. I'm 5'8 170lbs and no matter how I adjusted the straps, it just felt like my neck was supporting the entire bag. I even looked up photos and videos wondering if I was wearing it wrong lol This harness appears to be terrible.

Overall I love this harness. I had looked at several others and I thought maybe I should spend more money to get better quality but decided to try this one first, and I'm glad I did. It's very well made, there are no issues with quality that I can see. When I cinch it up tight, the lower portion makes the small of my back feel like I'm wearing a back support, which is great! I think it will be great for long days on set. For a guy my size (5'8 140) there's a lot of strap management to be done if you don't want a ton of extra straps dangling around and getting in the way. Also, because of my size, I couldn't get the lower straps (the ones that attach to the bottom of my audio bag) to snug up. I solved this by crossing them in the front (between me and the bag) and now I can cinch it up tight and get the proper back support. Some instructions would have been nice. The harness doesn't come with any at all. So it took a while to figure out the best way to adjust it properly. I've read some reviews that said that the top is rough where it sits on the back of the neck, and it's true, that part of the harness could be softer. But for me, it's a non-issue, because the way I have it adjusted for good lower back support, the harness doesn't touch the back of my neck. It sits just a little lower than that on my shoulders. The best part of the harness is that when I cinch up the lower straps, all of the weight comes off my shoulders and the bag feels like it's completely supported by my hips, so there's nothing pulling on my shoulders. I'm happy with this one for sure, and glad I didn't spend a ton of money unnecessarily.
