Sold as a pair, the yellow Midland GXT1030VP4 is a 50-channel two-way UHF radio designed to provide efficient, reliable, and private communication for hikers, campers, fishers, and more. With its JIS4 waterproof rating and NOAA weather alert radio with weather scan, the GXT1030VP4 is ready to tackle harsh outdoor environments.
Each radio has a knob and buttons for easy adjustments of volume, channel selection, menu, and more. The monitor button allows you to quickly adjust incoming transmission volume, while the scan button rapidly scans all channels for incoming transmissions, stopping at the first channel for four seconds with a current transmission before continuing to scan. With this radio, users can also take advantage of CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and DCS (Digital-Coded Squelch) to communicate privately using one of the 142 privacy codes.
The built-in speaker and mic enable convenient and audible operation, and boom mic headsets are included for added versatility and intelligibility. The GXT1030VP4 features an adjustable VOX mode for hands-free transmission. The radio can be powered by four AA batteries (available separately) or a rechargeable battery pack (included). A desktop charger is included to charge both radios simultaneously.
