Sonifex AVN-PXH12 12x2 Channel Mix Monitor & AoIP Portal
The Sonifex AVN-PXH12 is a compact, 1 RU monitor mixer primarily designed for stereo monitoring Audio over IP (AoIP) streams in networked audio installations for studios, galleries, offices, theaters, performance venues, and houses of worship. A total of 24 inputs are provided-12 digital and 12 analog-and you can monitor up to 12 sources at once. The unit supports the RAVENNA, AES67, and AES67-enabled Dante AoIP protocols via dual RJ45 ports. Any AES67 audio channels on your network can be assigned to input channels on the unit and mixed down to analog outputs, two headphone outputs, and a built-in speaker.

The front panel provides a translucent volume knob along with Mute, Norm/Alt Input Select, and L/R/Stereo buttons for each of the 12 channels. The translucent knob lights up green, amber, or red to indicate input levels pressing and holding the knob will Solo a channel. The front panel also supplies a 3.5mm stereo input. Two more stereo 3.5mm inputs, a stereo XLR input pair, and three XLR line outputs are located on the back panel, along with the RJ45 ports, AoIP SFP interface, and GPI/O port. The unit also sends the 8 channels of the 4 physical stereo inputs, together with a stereo mix of the speaker output, to the network as AoIP AES67 streams.
Features
- The AVN-PHX12 uses RAVENNA audio to ensure AES67 compatibility AES67 as a format has been established, providing compatibility with most other AoIP products
- A built-in web server is used for all configurations. Sources for all channels are simply assigned on one webpage and can be freely selected and altered at will
- SAP can be used as a discovery mechanism to discover Dante devices and monitor Dante AES67 streams
- Confidence monitoring on the translucent volume knob for each channel, so you ve got at-a-glance monitoring available
- The front-panel Mute button and the Solo feature on the control knob allow a single channel, or a handful of channels, to be auditioned quickly
- For each channel, Normal and Alternate inputs can be switched quickly (with <1 msec accuracy) for direct comparison
- Each channel can be directed to headphone left ear, right ear, or a stereo mix, providing you with the ability to set up a familiar headphone mix
- The AVN-PXH12 features 1/4 & 3.5mm headphone outputs and a speaker output with separate LS & HP volume controls
- Sources from AoIP, balanced, or three unbalanced inputs
