Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Replacement Pad Set (Black)

If you've never installed a pair of these pads, you're in for some annoyance. There are no instructions, so what I did was look at a couple of YouTube videos. They weren't that great. You really have to stretch the earpad membrane over your headphones, and until you trust that they won't tear, you could easily become frustrated they aren't going on. The headband pad is even worse to install. There is a ziplock style attachment that never did work fully for me. I let it heat up in my car in the sun, thinking it might stretch a little to get the ziplock to mate for the entire length. I could get the center to connect but not the ends. Electrical tape is what I used to secure the ends. It ain't pretty but it works. Sennheiser could do a much better job with the design of this pad set. The pads are all so soft it's hard to think they'll be all that durable. When they go again, I'll probably just buy new headphones. It's a shame because I really like the HD 280 pros.
