Fostex T60RP 50th Anniversary Over-Ear Semi-Open Headphones

Based on the classic T60RP, the T60RP 50th Anniversary Headphones from Fostex sport an improved RP diaphragm along with a durable and sonically optimal African padauk wood housing. With potent neodymium magnet powered drivers and up to 3W of power handling, these headphones are a solid choice for audiophiles at this price range.

Like the original T60RP, these headphones feature polyimide RP diaphragms with copper voice coils. The 3.5mm cable is detachable and utilizes an oxygen-free copper conductor for crisp wideband audio. The headband is made from comfortable rubber and is covered with a plush genuine leather head pad. Two pairs of earpads are provided with the T60RP 50th Anniversary leatherette (installed by default) and luxurious velour. These headphones also include a 3.5mm TRRS to TRS audio cable, a 1/4" plug adapter, and a sticker.

The T60RP 50th Anniversary edition, based on the T60RP, has a new RP (regular phase) sound profile tuned to precise specifications. It's made with durable African padauk wood and produced in a Japanese factory, with meticulous assembly and acoustic adjustments. Machined from solid wood, the African padauk wood offers the depth and luster of a robust mid-low range and enjoyable clarity in the treble range, free from muddiness or elongation.

Regular Phase Diaphragm

Fostex's proprietary RP diaphragm is crafted from highly heat-resistant polyimide film with etched copper foil. The driver unit utilizes a neodymium magnet, offering a broad reproduction range, exceptional transient response, and a high input resistance of up to 3W.

OFC Conductor

The headphone cable features a high-quality OFC (oxygen-free copper) conductor, ensuring high-resolution and crisp sound across all frequencies. When connected to a balanced output player or headphone amplifier using an optional balanced cable, it effectively suppresses unwanted noise and enhances sound clarity with improved channel separation.

All-Day Comfort and Two Earpad Options

The head pad utilizes genuine leather, enhancing its texture and providing a comfortable and stable wearing experience. The T60RP headphones include two sets of earpads synthetic leather and velour.
