Pyle Pro PTAU23 Mini 40 Watt x 2 Stereo Power Amplifier w/ USB/Aux Inputs

It's nothing fancy, but does what ity's supposed to do at a very reasonable price. I'm a video editor, and a year ago began to edit on a computer with an external audio DAC, and Bluetooth wired and wireless speakers..it was a nightmare with audio cutting in and out arbitrarily while I tried to edit. I now feed my DAC to this very small amplifier, and this feeds my 20 year old JBL bookshelf speakers - I now have consistent, excellent sound, inexpensive, and just as important, it takes up very little space on my editing desk.

No information on reliability or the USB media player, so I can't give 5 stars. I purchased it to power Zone 2 speakers. I connected it to my Sony STR-DN1080 A/V Receiver Zone 2 Out jacks. (This A/V Receiver cannot power a 7.2 speaker system AND zone 2 speakers simultaneously.) It has plenty of power for this application. I like this units portability as I may also use it to power external speakers for my electric piano.

Only gave it 3 stars because it would not work with my setup. Not based on quality or service. Could not control tv volume through it to external speakers with tv volume controls.

Bought this one to replace one that lasted 3 years (almost continuous) this one seems to be of lesser build quality. Seems to no longer have the speaker protect circuit, emits a pop at power on. USB Function has background digital static (Power supply filtering?) even with the volume is way down to off, is barely usable for background sound. I was hoping this one would be exactly like the previous one. I give this one 2 stars.

warned me that this unit was very cheap and that you get what you pay for, but I was pleasantly surprised. The construction and housing is remarkably sturdy and the knobs and switches are equally good. I was looking for a replacement to a very old amp used by my father to connect several very old audio units (separate cd player, tuner, tape player, etc) into one set of speakers, and this did that perfectly. If anything, the power is actually too strong for a small living room setting like ours. I can't speak to longevity as I just got this unit, and maybe that is where 's warning will come true, but for the price this little amp was hard to skip. If you need a good way to select audio from stereo inputs for a single speaker system in a reasonably small or home setting, this is a great cheap option. My only real reservation at this point is that I cannot get the usb plug-and-play feature to work, but I wasn't intending to use it anyway so I can't complain.
