Tannoy DVS4T Overview

Ultracompact, surface-mountable, and versatile in its design, the DVS 4T from Tannoy is a full-range, 2-way passive loudspeaker ideal for hotels, bars, retail spaces, parks, houses of worship, or any other space requiring live sound reinforcement. Rated for indoor or outdoor use with its IP64 weather resistance, UL 94 V-0 UV rating, and EN 54 certification, this loudspeaker can handle virtually any application, including emergency and safety announcements.

A 4" mineral-loaded LF polypropylene driver with nitrile surround for enhanced durability and reliability is coaxially mounted with a 0.75" ferrofluid cooled soft-dome HF driver with a powerful neodymium magnet. This coaxial driver arrangement provides 110° of constant directivity dispersion for optimal coverage of any environment. The system can handle 40W RMS and 160W peak of power, and you get a 30W low-insertion loss transformer with front panel-controlled 70 and 100V taps for easily building up a system. A block-style screw terminal offers input and throughput for linking to other speakers. The DVS 4T includes a steel yoke bracket for quick installation.

Super Point Source

DVS 4T's point-source design comprises a 4" mid-bass driver with a coaxially mounted 0.75" high-frequency section mounted in a stylish injection moulded ABS enclosure with an aluminum mesh grille. Certified for water and dust ingress protection to IP64 standard, the DVS 4T is an exceptional choice for challenging environments such as indoor swimming pools, saunas, or work areas with unusually high levels of dust or moisture, and outdoor applications where weather conditions are moderate.

Attractive and Easy to Install

The highly durable and scuff resistant ABS enclosure features a black painted finish, and comes with an aesthetically pleasing aluminum grille. Installation is quick and easy, thanks to the included color-matched steel mounting bracket and finger-adjustable hardware on the enclosure top and bottom.

The DVS 4T is equipped with an internally mounted low-insertion loss line transformer for 70 or 100V distributed sound applications. Wattage taps are configurable over a range of settings via a rotary tapping switch located on the back panel. Phoenix connectors for input and link output are provided for convenience.
