The FD-400A BNC Wired Intercom Beltpack with Double-Ear Closed-Type DL-550 Headset from ACETEK is designed for use as part of a wired intercom system for communication in audio/video facilities and for broadcast, event, and performance productions. This version of the FD-400A beltpack includes a double-ear closed-type DL-550 headset that connects to the beltpack via a 6.6 cable with a 4-pin XLR connector. Knobs allow the user to adjust the headphone volume and tone.
The beltpack can be powered for up to 200 hours by AA batteries and features two BNC connectors that allow you to connect up to ten FD-400A units and create a wired intercom system that provides an operating distance of up to 1.24 miles-without requiring a base station. Alternatively, the unit can also be connected to the FD-900S base station (available separately), which supplies five talk channels with up to eight FD400A units on each channel. The FD-900S can also supply the connected FD-400A units with DC power, eliminating the need for AA batteries. The FD-400A also provides an FD-300A mode switch for compatibility with FD-300A models.
