The QAPL-TX enables attaching your plug-on transmitter (not included) parallel to the tube when using an internally wired QuickPole with a coiled cable and lateral cable outlet. Mounting your transmitter on the bottom pole parallel instead of directly to your mic helps balance your pole, making it easier to " swing" your boom for long periods of time, and it also reduces strain on your mic's shock mount. The 5-pin XLR connector supports a stereo signal on a single connector and is for transmitters that have a 5-pin female XLR.
