Auray BP-36A Quick-Twist Lightweight Aluminum Boompole (7')

I picked up this boom pole to go with my Rode NTG-5 kit, and I am glad I picked this up. Lightweight and durable. Grip is comfortable.

Great for a pole to throw in your tripod bag when you need it. Can be a little difficult to release at first, but very happy with it overall.

Very solid build and love the fact its aluminum. Others are plastic for the same price or more. So this was a no brainer. I'm clumsy so I need a little insurance. Will buy again.

Are there more feature-rich boom poles out there? Yes, of course. But for the money, this is an excellent product. The construction is solid, the foam grip is comfortable, and the pole overall is lightweight and easy to use either in hand or on a stand.

If you need a boompole and don't need one that is wired, this will work great. It is way lighter than I thought it would be and that is a huge plus when holding it extended for long periods of time.

The Auray Aluminum Boompole is a great addition to my mobile kit. It's super lightweight and is adjustable up to 7' with a simple yet effective twist mechanism. The foam handle is comfortable and should hold up well over time. It checks a lot of the boxes that are important to me, lightweight, easy to use, sturdy, and it extends to a good length for the majority of ways I'll use it. It's simple and it gets the job done.

Hard to beat this price for a boompole. First, this pole is super light. That is fantastic. It has a 7' reach which seems fine for most, if not all jobs. I plan on letting students use this boom pole for their student films. I was worried that the build quality would be lacking at this price point. But I'm happy with the feel of it. I was afraid the twist tube locks would be too flimsy or not tight enough, but they are working as advertised. I did not feel that they would slip. Also, I'm happy with the build quality overall. The foam handle seems attached well and should last a while. And let me say again, this sucker is light. I think the kids are going to love using it just for that reason. And I don't blame them. A heavy boom pole can be brutal to work with so having one this light is great. Again, I'm very happy with this boom pole, it's quality and the price is fantastic.
