The Nano Shield Lyre from Rycote is a custom polymer holding mount for attaching microphones to a Nano Shield Kit. This pair of Lyres feature a 17/21mm opening and a 62-shore hardness for supporting a range of select microphones manufactured by Sennheiser, Neumann, Sanken, Rode, Audio-Technica, Schoeps, and DPA, in the following Nano Kit sizes: BA, CA, CB, DB, DC, DD.
Advanced Lyre Mount
Rycote has advanced the patented Lyre mount and redesigned them specifically for the Nano Shield kits. While the basic shape might look similar, the material, thickness, center of gravity, and mechanical properties have been engineered to provide a more compliant handling response in the direction the microphone is pointing, whilst giving more stability in other directions to prevent mics from bottoming-out or moving side-to-side. Adjustment and removal is easy and can be performed on-the-go, with no tools required.
