The black Schoeps W5D 3.5 Hollow Foam Ball Windscreen is an acoustic foam windscreen made with dead-air space that separates the mic capsule from the outside layer of foam and its velour-like surface treatment. The air space gives the WD5 a significant improvement in wind-reduction over the W5 and makes it an excellent choice for use with the MK 4, MK 41, MK 21, and MK 22 directional capsules. It s also very effective with the MK 2, MK 2H, MK 2S, and MK 2XS omnidirectional capsules. It is very transparent with minimal effect on the sound.
