The nickel-plated, 0.62 capsule is built to last and sports great sensitivity for smooth, nuanced audio reproduction, low distortion, and a high max SPL of 125 dB when the -10 dB pad is engaged. An onboard 100 Hz high-pass filter helps to reduce muddy frequencies and rumbling from handling the mic, and the E40 runs on common 48V phantom power, which is provided by most mixers and audio interfaces.
