The large-diaphragm capsule is elastically suspended to inhibit vibration noise, allowing the M 930 Ts to produce excellent detail for low-level signals as well as distortion-free clarity at high SPLs up to 142 dB, all while yielding very-low self-noise (7 dBA).

The overall frequency response is balanced and quite flat, with a slight rise from 6 to 12 kHz to exude enhanced presence and brilliance. Thanks to the cardioid polar pattern, cancellation at the rear of the mic exceeds 25 dB, helping minimize background noise and bleed from other sounds. Output Transformer

The M 930 Ts uses the same 1.1" large-diaphragm capsule found in the original M 930 but also features a modified impedance-converter circuit and a specially designed output transformer. This gives the mic a slightly improved low-end response, the ability to drive longer cable runs, and more headroom especially when working with high-impedance preamps.
