Microtech Gefell M940 Overview

The dark bronze M 940 Studio Condenser Microphone with MH 93.1 Stand Adapter from Microtech Gefell is a supercardioid microphone that combines a large-diaphragm capsule with semi-conductor circuit technology. It can be used to capture audio in broadcast, project, home, and professional studios and is well suited for use on a wide range of sources, including singers, speakers, keyboards, strings, wind instruments, and more.

The condenser microphone capsule delivers a smooth frequency response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz with a slight elevation from 7 to 11 kHz for additional presence. Its supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture narrowly in front of the microphone, picking up less bleed from other instruments and on-stage monitors and helping to substantially reduce feedback when sound reinforcement equipment is used. The transformerless circuit design provides for very-low self-noise for clean, distortion-free sound over a wide dynamic range. To reduce sensitivity to mechanical impact and structure borne noise, the microphone capsule and electronics are elastically suspended inside the compact metal housing. This version of the M 940 includes the MH 93.1 microphone stand adapter for versatile positioning.
