RODE NT2000 Large-Diaphragm Multipattern Condenser Microphone
EAN: 698813000029
Combining a true condenser capsule, continuously variable polar pattern control, and ultralow-noise circuitry, the Rode NT2000 large-diaphragm studio microphone offers pro-level sonic performance along with extremely versatile pickup responses, making it ideal for capturing all sorts of voice and instrument sources, and for experimenting with the balance of direct and room sound. Plus, it includes a vibration-inhibiting shockmount and a hard shell carry case, so it is truly studio- and travel-ready.
With low noise being a top priority of the NT2000, its 1 gold-sputtered capsule is internally shock-mounted to further isolate it from handling and vibration noise. Enhancing its professional character are the onboard pad (variable from 0 to -10 dB) and high-pass filter (variable from 20 to 150 Hz) settings, which help avoid distortion and bass buildup. Since it can run on 24 or 48 VDC phantom power, the NT2000 can be used with a variety of professional and entry-level XLR mic preamps.
Large-Diaphragm True Condenser
This true condenser (externally biased) features a 1 gold-sputtered, dual-diaphragm capsule that provides a broad frequency response, wide dynamic range, and excellent signal-to-noise ratio.
Variable Polar Pattern
The NT2000 s polar pattern is continuously variable from omnidirectional to cardioid to figure-8. As a result, the NT2000 offers excellent versatility for single-source close miking, dual-source pickup, room ambience capture, and more.
Variable Pad
The pad, which reduces the input level to the microphone s in-built preamp, can be continuously adjusted from 0 to -10 dB. This is very useful when recording loud sound sources (such as close miking of drums or amplifiers) to avoid overloading the microphone s preamplifier.
Variable High-Pass Filter
Choose any setting between 20 and 150 Hz to cut the level of the selected frequencyand below by 3 dB. This control is useful for selecting the cut-off point for potentially offending low frequencies such as traffic noise and floor vibrations. It can also be used on vocals to achieve a limited response for a different sound.
Transformerless Output
The transformerless JFET output electronics result in an ultralow-noise output (just 7 dBA) while maintaining maximum signal gain.
48V Phantom Power
The NT2000 operates reliably on 24 or 48 VDC phantom power, which can be supplied via most XLR-connected mic preamps, mixer channels, or audio interfaces.
Shockmount and Case
The NT2000 s accessory package includes a studio-grade shockmount that reduces stand-borne vibration and a hard shell carry case.
