A proprietary toroidal transformer helps ensure a pristine tone, with a sweet frequency boost at around 10 kHz. The microphone sports a 30 Hz to 18 kHz frequency range. Rather than a pad switch, the SU-023 uses an external attenuator block to secure a -20 dB pad, if need be.
The Deluxe model comes with a custom shockmount, a 10 mic cable, and a handmade oak case.
