This is a shotgun style mic, giving you a cardioid polar pattern that is better suited toward camera-mounted recording, as it emphasizes what s in front of the character by minimizing audio coming in from the sides. This condenser microphone relies on power from your phone or camera, requiring no batteries. It offers a 35 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response, which is suitable for capturing audio for most viewable media.
Included with this microphone are a furry windscreen (for use in the windy outdoors) as well as a soft case for storing the mic. For DSLR cameras, camcorders, and recorders, a 3.5mm TRS cable is included. For smartphones, tablets, and apple products, a 3.5mm TRRS cable is provided. The mic also includes a shockmount to minimize vibrations and handling noise, ensuring a smoother audio capture.
