The gray Schoeps CCM 41 LG Compact Supercardioid Microphone with Cinela Windshield is a miniature condenser microphone offering frequency-independent directivity and high immunity to acoustic feedback for music and speech recording. The design is a direct result of the demand for a compact capsule with the pickup of a shotgun microphone.
The supercardioid polar pattern attenuates off-axis sound more effectively than a traditional cardioid pattern while providing consistent directionality across its frequency range. The CCM 41 LG utilizes a 20 Hz roll-off to inhibit rumble and its 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response is well suited for natural reproduction of vocals and instruments.
Combined with the included Cinela suspension and windshield system, which significantly reduces noise from handling and wind, the CCM 41 LG is equally well suited for indoor/outdoor film sound recording and for use as a spot mic for orchestras, choirs, ambiance, and more.
