Equip your studio with a precisely tuned listening system with the Neumann Monitor Alignment Kit 3, which provides two gray KH 80 DSP studio monitors, a KH 750 DSP subwoofer, and an MA 1 measurement microphone. Neumann s included calibration software, developed with Fraunhofer IIS, allows you to create a room-specific profile that handles frequency, time-alignment, and amplitude issues inherent to your monitoring environment. After running the software with the included measurement mic, your KH-series 2.1 monitoring setup should be optimized to give you the ideal response for critical listening, mixing, post, and more.
Neumann KH 80 DSP 4" + 1" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor (Gray, Single)
The gray Neumann KH 80 DSP is a 2-way active studio monitor well suited for near-field monitoring and multichannel setups in music studios, broadcast centers and vans, as well as home studios and desktop audio applications. The KH 80 utilizes two amplifiers (120W and 70W) to power the 4" woofer and 1" tweeter respectively, an onboard DSP engine, a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion waveguide (MMD), an analog input, and an extensive range of optional mounting hardware. The DSP function is accessed via a standard IP network connection that allows the monitoring system to be controlled using the Neumann.Control app, which runs on a Windows/Mac computer or iOS/Android tablet. With the use of the latest acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies, the KH 80 can be used in diverse acoustical conditions with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations, ensuring accurate sound reproduction.
- Setup:
- 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9 loudspeakers
- Identify loudspeakers on the network that are in the room
- Assign the identified loudspeakers to positions in the room
- Align:
- Guided Alignment: A process where you are asked very simple questions about the room and the loudspeaker position, and then the app adjusts the response of each loudspeaker accordingly
- Manual Alignment: 8-band fully parametric equalizer for expert users. Expert users have complete freedom to adjust an 8-band parametric equalizer, levels and delays in each loudspeaker as they wish. Manual Alignment can also be used to edit Guided Alignments in a more detailed way
