The WMS-5 Five-Channel Surround Microphone from Sanken is a professional field microphone designed to capture audio for five-channel surround recordings. The three capsules (mid-front, side, mid-rear) are placed to maintain precise phase-coherence and deliver accurate five-channel surround sound for HDTV broadcast and film applications.
Five discrete balanced XLR outputs send audio to separate recorder tracks, mixer channels, etc. M-S (mid-side) to left/right stereo matrix circuitry is built into the microphone, making it easy to use.
