The Straight XLR 5-Pin Female to Low-Profile XLR 3-Pin Male Stereo Y Cable (18" ) from Cable Techniques is an analog Y cable designed to split the output of a stereo microphone into two separate mono cables for use in field recording, live sound, recording studios, and more. Such a Y cable is useful when routing a stereo mic into two preamplifiers or mixer inputs.
The balanced cable features black connectors with gold pins. The Neutrik XX-series straight XLR 5-pin female jack can be connected to a compatible stereo mic. Two low-profile XLR 3-pin male jacks are provided for the left and right channels. Different cap colors identify the channels (blue cap = channel 1, red cap = channel 2).
