The Lectrosonics L Series Camera-Mount Wireless Plug-On Microphone System with RE50B Handheld Mic Kit from is designed for handheld interviews in professional broadcast production.
The kit comes with the L Series LR compact receiver and the HMa plug-on transmitter. It also includes the Electro-Voice RE50B handheld dynamic microphone, an industry standard for news correspondents around the globe.
The system operates for up to 4 hours on AA batteries. A shoemount adapter for the receiver, as well as XLR and 3.5mm output cables are all available separately.

Lectrosonics HMa Plug-On Wireless Transmitter (B1: 537 to 607 MHz)
The HMa from Lectrosonics is a UHF plug-on transmitter that accepts mic or line-level signals via a standard XLR connector. The transmitter is designed to be paired with a Lectrosonics receiver and handheld microphone (sold separately)for use in applications for ENG (Electronic News Gathering), EFP (Electronic Field Productions), interviews for broadcast TV, and more. The HMa offer phantom power selectable at 5, 15, and 48V allowing it to work with a wide variety of condenser mics. Of course you can switch the phantom power off entirely if you re using a dynamic microphone.
The input amplifier of the HMa transmitter uses an ultralow-noise op-amp for quiet operation and offers input gain control along with a wide-range dual-release envelope limiter. A 24-bit A to D converter digitizes the audio, and filters the supersonic noise above 21 kHz. The resulting signal is encoded with a proprietary algorithm to produce an analog data signal for RF transmission.
This version of the HMa features a tuning range of 70 MHz, with tuning steps in increments of 100 kHz or 25 kHz, and is set for use in the B1: 537 to 607 MHz range. DSP compatibility mode allows the transmitter to work with legacy analog wireless microphone and IFB receivers as well as some receivers from other manufacturers.
Finally, the transmitter is powered by two AA batteries, with status indicated by a multi-color LED. A USB port is also provided for firmware updates, and an IR (infrared) port is included to simplify setup with IR enabled receivers.

Selectable 50/100 mW output power
70 MHz tuning range in 100 kHz or 25 kHz steps
The antenna is formed between the machined aluminum housing of the transmitter and the attached microphone or cable. It functions as a dipole radiator when attached to a hand-held microphone and somewhat like a ground plane antenna when connected with a cable or plugged directly into a mixer
Electro-Voice RE50B - Omnidirectional Dynamic Shockmounted ENG Microphone (Black)
Every day, for local, national and international news reports, the Electro-Voice RE50B gathers the audio for news interviews. Designed specifically as an ENG/EFP interview microphone, the RE50B s custom Dyna-Damp " mic-within-a-mic" shockmount provides extremely low handling noise for clear sound. A large, built-in Acoustifoam filter keeps wind and P-pop noise to an absolute minimum, indoors or out. Frequency response is 80 Hz to 13 kHz.

Lectrosonics L Series LR Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver (B1: 537 to 607 MHz)
The L Series LR Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver from Lectrosonics is a digital hybrid ultra-compact portable wireless bodypack receiver with 75 MHz tuning bandwidth and with tracking front-end filters. When paired with a transmitter and microphone it can be used to capture audio in environments for applications such as broadcast TV, video production, ENG field work, and more.
The LR has several other features to help provide good clear audio, such as compatibility modes to allow the receiver to operate with older analog receivers. Dual antenna diversity helps to improve range and resistance to dropouts. There is also a built-in RF spectrum analyzer and SmartTune scan, which make finding a clean frequency on-site quick and easy.
In addition, the LR receiver is enclosed in machined-aluminum housing and built with detachable antennas that allow for remote antenna mounting. LCD and membrane switch interfaces provide clear information for setup and status monitoring. This transmitter operates in the B1 frequency band between 537.600 to 607.950 MHz.
