Exquisitely designed by Bernt Malmqvist of Pearl Microphone Labs himself, the ELM-T is a large-diaphragm vacuum tube condenser designed for professional studio recording. Sporting continuously variable polar pattern selection between cardioid, figure-8, and omnidirectional, this handmade Swedish mic delivers incredible versatility.
At the heart of the ELM-T lies the ELM capsule, a unique 7:1 rectangular condenser capsule that offers an extremely smooth off-axis response, warm and detailed sound capture, and very-low self noise. These qualities make the ELM-T an ideal choice for choirs, string orchestras, instruments, drum overheads, vocals, and much more. The included AGES NG power supply is provided by Andreas Grosser and provides high-quality voltages as well as polar pattern selection. The ELM-T also includes a Rycote USM shockmount, a 7-pin XLR cable, a power cable, and a slipcover.
Historic Pedigree
Founded in 1941, Pearl Microphones is one of the oldest continuously operating microphone manufacturers in the world. Every Pearl microphone is handcrafted in their plant in southern Sweden.
