A built-in preamp offers volume, bass, midrange, and treble controls, as well as other knobs to shape the sound: a presence control lets you cut more onstage, while the phase control helps ameliorate onstage feedback. To foster a classic and timeless look, the instrument utilizes ABS in the style of vintage ivory binding and is topped with a smokestack black finish.
