A 1/4 output combines line amp and headphone output into one, so you can easily connect to a PA system, your guitar amp, or high-powered headphones, with support for 17mW per channel into a 32-ohm load. The extra USB Micro-B connection lets you power your pedal, provides MIDI I/O, and can be used to connect to the free Guitar Lab software for creating and editing effects or patches, and the A1X Four can also run on four AA alkaline batteries on-the-go, providing up 18 hours of battery life. The A1X Four includes the MAA-1 Mic Amp, which makes it easy to connect dynamic and phantom-powered condenser microphones to your processor.
