Erica Synths HexInverter Mutant Brain Overview
Modular synthesizer enthusiasts looking for a simple yet powerful MIDI to CV module will be impressed with the erica synths Hexinverter Mutant Brain, a compact Eurorack-compatible MIDI to CV/gate module, which can serve as the central nervous system of your setup by interfacing your analog modular system with a variety of MIDI equipment and sequencers. With four CV outputs and 12 gate outputs, the module is well suited for percussion, polyphonic notes, and sync duties.
The module responds to up to 5 MIDI channels, allowing for the first 4 channels to control melodic synthesizers components (CV/Gate) signals, while the fifth channel controls gate triggers 5-12, which are assigned by default to C4 to C5 on a MIDI controller keyboard. Mutant Brain Surgery, a free configuration utility allows you to customize the settings and upload the configuration to the Mutant Brain via Sysex commands.
