QUAGLIARDI PRO AUDIO 576 FET Overview
Inject versatility into your 500 Series rack with the 501+ Preamp from Quagliardi Pro Audio, a high-quality mic-, line-, and instrument-level preamplifier module. Delivering a clear and transparent response at low to mid gain while adding a distinctive color when pushed into saturation, the 501+ can cover a wide gamut of studio sounds.
The 501+ sports a switchable front-panel XLR-1/4" combo input that allows you to connect an alternate low-impedance microphone or high-impedance instrument in DI mode, such as electric guitar, bass, or keyboards. The permalloy transformer offers ideal protection from EMI. The 501+ sports the famed 2520 operational amplifier. And with the classic-style 7-segment LED meter, you can keep an eye on your signals at all times.
Front-Panel Controls
- A -20 dB attenuation pad lets you rein in excessively hot signals
- Polarity flip switch reverses input phase, useful to evade phasing of mics
- The XREL switch that affects the input transformer coil configuration, allowing you to achieve a different coloration character from the default saturation
- A switch allows you to provide +48V phantom power for active microphones
