Rupert Neve Designs RNDI-S Stereo DI Box for Keyboards, Basses & More
EAN: 752423657414
Designed for guitarists, keyboardists, bass players, and other instrumentalists, the Rupert Neve Designs RNDI-S is a stereo DI box that employs the same architecture and design of the well-regarded RNDI. The DI Box utilizes custom RND transformers as well as Class-A biased, discrete FET amplifiers. This ensures both a rich tone and high headroom so that you maintain a powerful tone when you plug your instrument into a house PA, mixing desk, or recording interface.
The device sports two 1/4 instrument inputs and a stereo 3.5mm auxiliary input for consumer-grade devices. You can switch between the 3.5mm input and the 1/4 section by toggling the front-panel switch. Two 1/4 thruputs are on hand should you want to route parallel signal to your onstage amplifier. On the rear of the RNDI-S, you ll find two XLR outputs for feeding the house PA or recording interface. Ground-lift switches allow you to minimize any hum associated with ground loops. The unit is powered via 48V phantom power straight from the house or recording interface.
The unit sports a virtually flat frequency response from 30 Hz to 63 kHz, and quite little in the way of distortion. Because of its transformer-coupled outputs, the RNDI-S can drive long cable lines with minimal signal loss. You can mount the RNDI-S into a rack-shelf via its 4-hole pattern, specifically sized for 6-32 machine screws.
