JoeCo BlackBox Player - 64 Channel MADI I/O Plus 8 Channel Balanced Input
Featuring eight analog channels, video-synchronization options via timecode, and a host of digital I/Os, the BlackBox Player from JoeCo is designed to complement the BlackBox recorder by providing 64 channels of playback via MADI. Thus, audio stems for an entire slate of material-be it concert, broadcast, or exhibition-can be arranged into playlists and played directly from the BlackBox in stereo or surround. The playlists themselves are editable should the setlist change, these XML files can be adjusted simply and quickly. They can also be looped.
The BlackBox player can be controlled in a variety of ways, including via MIDI commands, timecode, a QWERTY keyboard, a footswitch, or the JoeCoRemote for iPad. Furthermore, each channel can be separately equalized and level-balanced to better suit the strictures imposed by venue acoustics, audience generated noise during performances, or live-audio tracks played alongside prerecorded material. It also features a separate headphone output to provide an additional mix straight to the ears of someone like the music director of a performance, for instance.
The BlackBox player features these and a whole other host of features-and all of it in 1U of rackspace. Furthermore, its power supply is included.
